Areas we cover

Dartmouth, the South Hams and selected South Devon projects

Working locally is a practical matter. It means shorter response times, reliable access to trades and suppliers, and genuine familiarity with how buildings in this part of Devon are constructed and how they weather.

Dartmouth

Our home town, and the one we know best. Dartmouth's older housing stock brings narrow streets, shared access, steep approaches and a good deal of listed and character property. Deliveries, parking and waste removal need planning into the programme rather than being treated as an afterthought, and exposed elevations above the river take more weather than most people expect.

Kingsbridge

A practical market town with a wide mix of property, from estuary-facing houses to solid mid-century homes needing reconfiguration and refurbishment. Kingsbridge projects often involve improving layouts and insulation in houses that have been extended piecemeal over the years.

Totnes

Totnes has a high proportion of period and listed buildings where sympathetic repair matters more than replacement. Lime-based finishes, older timber structures and previous unsuitable repairs are common, and each needs assessing on its own terms before a scope is agreed.

Salcombe

Steep sites, tight access and coastal exposure define most Salcombe work. Second homes and holiday properties often need work programmed around occupancy, and external timber, ironmongery and finishes must be specified for salt-laden air rather than sheltered inland conditions.

The South Hams

Across the wider South Hams we work on farmhouses, barns, village cottages and rural properties where access, drainage and ground conditions are frequently the deciding factors in how a project is sequenced and priced.

Selected projects across South Devon

We consider projects elsewhere in South Devon depending on their nature, value and programme. Distance affects how efficiently a job can be run, so we would rather discuss it honestly at enquiry stage than take on work we cannot service properly.
